Storytelling can be a powerful way to enact change and engage with complex emotions.

My Climate Story is an initiative run through the Penn Program in Environmental Humanities that aims to help people engage with the climate crisis on a personal level. I joined the Public Research Intern team in the summer of 2020 and helped develop and refine climate story workshops.

Climate Story Workshop

This introductory workship encourages audiences of all ages to engage with the world around them, and notice how it is changing, through storytelling. I developed the S-I-S-R storytelling framework, which is used to guide participants through their climate story writing process.

Mi Cuento Climático

This is a Spanish-language adaptation of the introductory climate storytelling workshop. These slides include English translations of key vocabulary terms and are suitable for use in English-Spanish language learning.

My Climate Story Workbook

Released in December 2021, this interactive workbook invites audiences of all ages to engage with the PPEH climate storytelling curriculum. Connor’s contributions include the SISR storytelling model, workshops upon which the cookbook was based, and strategic feedback on accompanying illustrations. My Climate Story: Recipes for Crafting, Telling, and Sharing Your Own is available in hard copy and digital versions.
